August 2023 Release Notes 3.6.0
The August 2023 Release Notes for Phin version 3.6.0 detail a revamped policy distribution system with dynamic and fixed audience options and document preview, enhanced training campaign scheduling allowing admins to modify course times mid-campaign, a new course preview feature for end-user experience, a bug fix addressing false positive clicks in analytics, and ongoing Knowledge Base updates.
Policy Distribution Overhaul
Phin’s system for distributing policies has been refreshed to enhance its capabilities. From the sidebar, you can navigate to the policy catalog, where you’ll now be able to add a policy through an upgraded menu.
When distributing uploaded policies (still found in the policy catalog), you now have the option to preview the document before sending it out. You can also specify the audience to fine-tune who needs to acknowledge the policy document.
- Dynamic Audience: When selecting a dynamic audience, any new users who meet the filter criteria will automatically be added to the policy distribution list.
- Fixed Audience: New users will not be added to fixed audience distributions, making it easy to send documents to a set, small audience.
Training Campaign Scheduling
Admins can now update the course scheduler at any point during a training campaign. To make updates, use the edit button and go to the Schedule step.
For example, if a campaign has been running every 1st and 4th Wednesday of the month since July 3rd, you can now update the schedule to any day and time for the remainder of the campaign.
- If you select a new time that is very close to the current time, you may receive a warning message indicating that the next scheduled event may be pushed to the following occurrence that meets the scheduler criteria.
- Any changes made will be reflected in your Campaign Details pages.
Previewing Courses
Previewing upcoming and launched courses is now easier. Within your Training Campaign Details page, there is an eye-icon for each course. Selecting this icon allows you to walk through what your end users will experience.
Bug Fix
- Clicks marked as false positives were showing in the clicks view on the analytics page. This issue has been resolved.
Knowledge Base
