Avoiding User Duplication with Azure Sync and Manual Uploads

When a user is added manually and later synced with Azure, or manually uploaded multiple times with the exact same email, the system merges or ignores duplicates to maintain a single user record without affecting training or phishing data, ensuring no user duplication occurs.

If a user was added manually, then Azure synced at a later time, the Azure sync integration will update that manually updated user with information associated with them in Azure. It will merge them into one user and treat it as an update to the user. Their training and phishing data will not be affected. This is true as long as the emails match exactly.

If you have manually uploaded a user, and then at a later time manually upload the same user (same email), that user will NOT be duplicated. The system will recognize the email and ignore that same user to avoid duplication.
