Configuring AppRiver for Phin Security

The guide explains how to configure AppRiver for Phin Security by allowlisting Phin's IP addresses in the SpamLab Admin under Filters > IP Addresses and adding Phin's sending domains in the Customer Portal's Email Threat Protection > Link Protection settings to prevent phishing link rewriting and false positives.

If you are using AppRiver, you may need to allowlist our domains, IPs, and URLs within their system.

Adding IP Addresses to the allowlist

  1. 1.Log in to the AppRiver Admin Area > SpamLab Admin.
  2. 2.Select the Filters tab.
  3. 3.Click on the IP Addresses option in the left-side navbar.
  4. 4.In the Allowed IP Addresses section, click the Add button and add Phin IP Addresses.
  5. 5.Click Save.

Preventing AppRiver from rewriting Phishing Links

We recommend further allowlisting the sending domains we use to help prevent false positive clicks. To do this, please:

  1. 1.Access the Customer Portal.
  2. 2.Select Email Threat Protection > Link Protection > Edit.
  3. 3.Under Policy Options, enter Phin domains.
