How often are training reminders sent out?

Training reminders are sent 7 days after a user's last interaction with the Phin LMS—such as visiting the LMS, starting or completing a course, or receiving a new assignment—and continue at a configurable interval between 1 and 180 days until all courses are completed, with reminders consolidating all incomplete courses into a single email.

Users who haven't completed training get reminders

A reminder is sent 7 days after the last time an end-user interacted with the Phin LMS. Interactions that reset the reminder countdown include:

  • Visiting the LMS without interacting with a course
  • Starting or completing a course
  • Receiving a new training assignment email

It's important to note that an end-user does not need to complete a training course for the reminder countdown to reset. Reminders will continue at the configured interval as long as the user has incomplete courses or until the interval is adjusted.

Adjusting how often reminders are sent

To adjust the reminder interval, navigate to Company > Settings > Send Settings.

Use the up and down arrows, or enter a value directly in the field, to set a new interval. The allowed range is between 1 and 180 days. Click Apply Changes to save the new interval.
