How to Edit Continuous Training Campaigns
The guide explains how to edit continuous training campaigns by navigating to the Training Dashboard, using the Campaign Editor to change the campaign's name and description, selecting an audience from fixed or dynamic options (including company-wide or department-specific), reviewing the curriculum, and setting the schedule, while noting that all campaign management has moved to a unified Campaigns page as of August 12, 2025.
Editing Continuous Training Campaigns
Important Note (8.12.2025)
Creating, viewing, and editing all campaign types has moved to a single, unified Campaigns page, accessible under 'Campaigns' from the side navigation. This article may not accurately represent the current location of campaign tools.
Overview
After setting up your continuous training campaign through the Continuous Campaign Creator tool, you may want to configure and adjust the parameters of that campaign. This guide covers:
- How to change the campaign's name and description
- How to select an audience
- How to review the curriculum
- How to set the schedule
Step 1: Navigating to the Training Dashboard
- 1.If you aren't already at the home screen of the client portal, start by navigating there. Then, access the Training Dashboard.
- 2.Click on Training in the left-side menu.
- 3.In the drop-down menu, click on Campaigns.
- 4.In the Training Dashboard, you'll see your campaigns listed under Active Training Campaigns.
- 5.Hover over the campaign you'd like to edit to bring up management options.
- 6.Click the Edit button (the blue pencil) to enter the Training Campaign Editor.
Step 2: Changing the Name & Description
- 1.After clicking Edit, you'll see a screen where you can change the Campaign Name and Description.
- 2.Update the name and description as desired.
- 3.Click Next to continue.
Step 3: Selecting an Audience
You have four options for delivering campaigns:
- 1.Fixed Audience: Deliver the campaign to a fixed set of users within the company. Select users individually or use Select All. The selected audience appears on the right under Selected Users.
- 2.Dynamic Audience - Full Company: Deliver the campaign company-wide. All current and future users will be included.
- 3.Dynamic Audience - Department: Deliver the campaign to a specific department. Select a department from the dropdown to see user groups.
- 4.Dynamic Audience - Manager: Deliver the campaign to users under a specific manager. Select a manager from the dropdown to see user groups.
After selecting the audience, click Next.
Step 4: Reviewing Curriculum
The next page displays the curriculum available for the campaign. Review the curriculum, then click Next.
Step 5: Setting the Schedule
Setting a schedule is managed through the scheduling tool. Note:
- The Start Date set with the Continuous Campaign Creator tool is when the campaign begins to look for the sending parameter, not when it first delivers.
- Admins can update the course scheduler at any point during the campaign.
- The soonest a campaign can be scheduled to send is 24 hours in advance.
- By default, campaigns created with the Continuous Campaign Creator tool are set to send Monthly on the 1st Monday of the Month.
You can adjust the following parameters:
- 1.Frequency of sending: Choose from Once, Weekly, Monthly, or Quarterly.
- 2.Week of delivery: Select which week in the month or period the campaign delivers.
- 3.Day of delivery: Choose the day of the week for delivery.
- 4.Time of delivery: Set the time the campaign begins.
Continuous Training Campaigns are sent out all at once at the selected time.
Example
You can designate a specific date and time for the first training, followed by a recurring schedule. For example:
- First course delivered on 10/22/2024 at 3 PM (time-zone specific).
- Subsequent courses recur monthly on the 1st Monday at 8 AM, starting on 10/31/2024.
- The scheduler will find the next date matching the set parameters (e.g., 11/4/2024 for the 1st Monday of the month).
Any changes made will be reflected in your Campaign Details pages. Once the schedule is set, click Launch.
Viewing Campaign Details
You can view campaign details on a separate page by clicking the eye icon on the campaign card.
Cancel Campaign
The Cancel Campaign button allows you to cancel the campaign at any time. For continuous campaigns, this is the only way to stop them.
