How to Launch Continuous Phishing Campaigns

The article explains how to launch continuous phishing campaigns on Phin's platform by either using the Continuous Campaign Creator—accessed via the home screen's "Create Continuous Campaigns" tile to configure training and phishing schedules with customizable templates and frequencies—or by creating Custom Continuous Phishing Campaigns for greater template control, noting that all campaign management has since been unified under a single Campaigns page in the side navigation.

Launching a Continuous Phishing Campaign on Phin's Platform

IMPORTANT NOTE (8.12.2025):

Creating, viewing, and editing all campaign types has moved to a single, unified Campaigns page, accessible under 'Campaigns' from the side navigation. This article may not accurately represent the current location of campaign tools.

There are two ways to create a continuous phishing campaign on Phin's platform:

  1. 1.Through the Continuous Campaign Creator Button
  2. 2.Through Custom Continuous Phishing Campaigns

Continuous Campaign Creator

Step 1: Finding the Continuous Campaign Creator Button

  • Navigate to the home screen of the client portal.
  • Select the Create Continuous Campaigns tile.

Step 2: Creating a Campaign with the Continuous Campaign Creator

  • Begin using the campaign creator tool to start the campaign creation process.
  • You will be prompted to check applicable boxes to build out both a continuous phishing and continuous training campaign. Your answers determine the training curriculum and phishing templates.
  • You can create multiple continuous campaigns and answer questions differently for targeted training and phishing based on audience groups.
  • After reviewing the curriculum page, click Next to move to the scheduling page.
  • The soonest a campaign can be scheduled is 24 hours in advance, set by adjusting the "Send first training on" date.
  • On the scheduling page, configure the schedule for both Training and Phishing campaigns. Training is set to monthly on the 1st Monday of the month by default.
  • You can adjust frequency, phishing window, and start date to suit your needs.
  • Once your schedule is set, click Submit to launch the campaign.

Custom Continuous Phishing Campaigns

If you want more control over the templates within a campaign, you can create a Custom Continuous Phishing Campaign.

Step 1: Finding the Custom Continuous Phishing Campaign Creator

  • Navigate to the home screen of the client portal.
  • Access the Phishing Dashboard via the left-hand side menu:
    1. 1.Click on Phishing in the left-hand menu.
    2. 2.When the drop-down appears, click on Campaigns.
  • In the Phishing Dashboard, click Launch a Phishing Campaign to enter the custom campaign creator tool.
  • On the custom campaign page, you will see two sections:
    1. 1.Campaign Info: Change the name and description to fit your goals.
    2. 2.Campaign Type: Select Continuous to start creating a Custom Continuous Phishing campaign.
  • Click Next to proceed.

Step 2: Creating the Custom Continuous Campaign

  • Ensure you have:

    • Navigated to the Phishing Dashboard
    • Launched the Custom Phishing Campaign Tool
    • Set your Campaign Info
    • Selected Continuous Campaigns
  • After clicking Next, follow these steps:

    1. 1.Select an audience: Choose the audience for the campaign.
    2. 2.Select your sending channels.
    3. 3.Select your Learning Type(s).
    4. 4.Select the Template Categories: Choose which types of phishing are included by clicking the + buttons. A green check indicates selection.
    5. 5.Select your Publish Options:
      • Save and Launch
        • Private Preset: Save the campaign as a private preset for future use with this client.
        • Shared Preset: Save the campaign as a shared preset for all clients in your portal (does not deliver to all clients, just saves the option).
      • Launch Campaign: Launch without saving; you will need to recreate the campaign to use it again.
    6. 6.After making selections, click Next.
    7. 7.On the Campaign Launcher page, set the schedule and review your selections.
    8. 8.Click Launch to start the campaign.
