How to Launch Custom Training Campaigns

The guide explains how to launch Custom Training Campaigns by creating a campaign with a name and description, selecting a targeted audience from options like full company, department, manager, or Azure/Google groups, choosing either a pre-built campaign or manual courses, and then setting a delivery schedule either all at once or over time.

Overview

Custom Training Campaigns allow you to deliver tailored training content with scheduled campaigns, providing flexibility while maintaining hands-off management. All campaign types are now managed from a unified Campaigns page under 'Campaigns' in the side navigation.

Step 1: Creating a Custom Training Campaign

  1. 1.In the training dashboard, click the blue Launch a Training Campaign button at the top of the screen.
  2. 2.In the Training Campaign Editor, provide a name and description for your campaign.
  3. 3.Click Next to proceed.

Step 2: Selecting an Audience

You have four options for delivering campaigns:

  1. 1.Full Company Campaign: Delivers the campaign company-wide to all current and future users.
  2. 2.Department Campaign: Targets a specific department within the company. To set up, select the department campaign option. (If you need to add departments to users, refer to the relevant instructions.)
  3. 3.Manager Campaign: Delivers the campaign to users managed by a specific manager. Select 'Manager' in the Audience Builder and choose the manager's email. (Instructions are available for adding manager emails to users.)
  4. 4.Group Campaign: Runs campaigns for specific Azure Groups. This option is available if Azure or Google User Sync integration is connected. Select 'Group Campaign', then use the group selector to choose the desired groups.

After selecting your audience, click Next.

Step 3: Selecting Curriculum for the Campaign

  • On the next screen, view all available pre-built campaigns. Each custom training campaign can include only one pre-built campaign.
  • Select the pre-built campaign you wish to deliver.
  • Alternatively, select individual courses by choosing 'Manual' instead of 'Prebuilt'.
  • Once content is selected, click Next.

Step 4: Setting the Schedule

You can choose between two scheduling options:

All at Once Scheduling

  • Select a date and time to deliver the entire campaign at once. This option is only available for fixed training campaigns. All modules are delivered simultaneously.

Recurring Scheduling

  • Set a specific date and time for the first training.
  • Define a recurring schedule (e.g., weekly, monthly, quarterly).
  • Adjust the week of delivery within the month or period.
  • Choose the day of the week and time for delivery.

Note: Pre-defined campaigns will only run once through the list of courses. After all courses are delivered, the campaign stops.

When the last field of the scheduler is set, it determines when the campaign will begin looking for the next scheduled delivery date (e.g., "once a month on the 1st Monday at 8 AM, starting on 10/31/2024").

Once your schedule is set, click Launch.

Managing Campaigns

  • Your new custom training campaign will appear under Active Training Campaigns.
  • You can cancel a campaign at any time by clicking the red cancel button.
