How to Turn Closed Captions On/Off in Phin Security

The guide explains how to enable or disable English closed captions in Phin Security training modules by clicking the "CC" icon in the video player’s bottom left corner, selecting the language if available, and notes that browser-based captioning like Google Chrome’s Live Caption can be used if built-in captions are absent.

Turning Closed Captions On or Off in Phin Security Training Modules

When you load a training module in Phin Security, closed captions may be available depending on the specific module. If closed captions are available, you will find the option in the bottom left corner of the video player.

To enable closed captions:

  1. 1.Click the "CC" symbol in the bottom left corner of the video player.
  2. 2.A selection menu will appear. Select "English" to turn on closed captions. (Currently, English is the only available option.)
  3. 3.For multi-language and translated courses, subtitles will populate automatically.

To disable closed captions, simply deselect the option in the same menu.

If a course does not have built-in closed captions, you can use browser-based closed captioning as an alternative. For example, Google Chrome offers a Live Caption feature that can be toggled on for accessibility.
